Debate intelligent solutions for sustainability in P.PORTO

Organized by the Polytechnic of Porto and EIPP, the XXVI RECLA International Meeting is held for the first time in Portugal

Sustainable societies are built on 21st-century skills. Achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) implies a new set of knowledge, insights and attitudes, as well as in innovative and smart strategies that drive comprehensive technologies in our societies, both in professional and academic environments.

Politécnico do Porto, Red de Educación Continua de Latinoamérica y Europa (RECLA) and EIPP (e-Learning and Pedagogical Innovation Unit), organizers of the International Meeting RECLA, open this important debate in an event dedicated to Smart Learning Solutions for Sustainable Societies.

The meeting takes place in a hybrid regime (face-to-face and virtual) on October 6, 7 and 8, 2021 and confirms as main speakers Luis Rothes, national coordinator of the Program for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC), Michaela Martin, specialist for the areas of Higher Education and Organizational Policy of UNESCO and António Leite, Regional Delegate of the North of the Institute of Employment and Vocational Training.

The emergence of innovative solutions in different operating contexts, the role of continuing education in contemporary societies, emphasizing the vision of a renewed role for education - and, in particular, a hybrid academic profile - in connecting scientific knowledge, technology and society are some of the objectives of this meeting, which seeks to encourage debate between key players, institutions and citizens to share technical and scientific challenges, triggering an open discussion.

We believe that this is an opportunity for academics, professionals and consultants involved in the study, management and development of educational technologies, intelligent learning, sustainable education and related issues in practice, in the public sector and in education, to meet and debate ideas.
