The Public Hearing of the single candidate, Professor João Manuel Simões da Rocha, to the position of President of the Institute, was held today, January 19th, in the Building of the Presidency of Politécnico do Porto.
After the presentation and discussion of the program, the P.PORTO General Council deliberated the election with 29 votes in favor and 3 in blank.
The hearing's minute and the respective vote, once approved, shall be sent to the President of the Institute who is still in office, so that it may be immediately forwarded to the Minister of Education for further approval.
The new President will take office on the 4th April 2018.
