International Mobility Project approved

P.PORTO has, for the fifth consecutive year, a project approved under the International Credit Mobility

Internationalization is an essential imperative of Porto Polytechnic's mission. We assume the responsibility of being one of the largest higher education institutions at national level, both in number of students, in number of mobility and in number of Erasmus + projects.

According to José Carlos Quadrado, Porto Polytechnic's Pro-President for the internationalization area, "this purpose is achieved either through the leadership of ICM (International Credit Mobility) projects centered in regions outside the European Union, or through the establishment of strategic partnerships positions that allow Portugal and P.PORTO to be positioned in the consortia that lead the transformations in the areas of excellence that we have, either through the incorporation of International Good Practices (Capacity Building) that guarantee a homogeneous growth of the whole situation."

Therefore, it should be noted that, for the fifth consecutive year, Porto Polytechnic has seen a project approved under the International Credit Mobility. The project was one of 28 applications accepted out of 103 submitted by Portuguese institutions.

Beginning in 2019 and ending in 2021, the project has 223 confirmed mobilities for 11 partner countries, namely Albania, Algeria, Bosnia, Cape Verde, Egypt, Kosovo, Montenegro, Morocco, Russia, South Africa and Ukraine. The € 500,000 budget makes P.PORTO the third-largest funded institution in this call. (Note that only 8 institutions had funding of over € 400,000).

P.PORTO International Program (P.PORTO IP) is intended for all international students outside the countries of the European Union.

Objectives:
Among others, to provide international students with a general education in Portuguese and other areas of transversal knowledge. Provide preparation in specific areas according to your academic options in order to improve your performance or adjust your knowledge. Ensure the immediate integration of international students, from the moment of their arrival to the PORTO.
