The School of Managemen and Technology (ESTG) of P.PORTO maintains as its structuring principle activity the creation of partnerships with the economic agents of the region, which has been translated into fruitful actions, promoting the sustainable development of the region.
The promotion of the Program for Stimulating Creative Innovation in an Industrial Environment and the Promotion of Small Cluster Cooperation Practices addresses six key sectors in the Tâmega and Sousa region: agrifood; construction and materials; metalworking, furniture, fashion (footwear, textiles and clothing) and tourism.
The program aims to raise awareness of the importance of creativity and innovation in the organizational environment when it comes to creating new products, as well as the advantages of unifying identical brands and / or products for volume marketing.
Aimed at entrepreneurs and corporate employees, 12 workshops are held - two for each key sector - which will be complemented by benchmarking and technical working meetings with cluster representatives.
On the agenda, there are already workshops for the metalworking sectors, on October 18, and furniture, on October 25, in Amarante and Paços de Ferreira, respectively.

This program is part of the Tâmega e Sousa operation - Qualify and Brand On and is led by the Tâmega e Sousa Intermunicipal Community (CIM-TS), in partnership with ESTG and the Tâmega e Sousa Business Council (CETS), being co-financed. Northern 2020, Portugal 2020 and the European Union through the ERDF - European Regional Development Fund.
