The Campus 2 Auditorium was too small to host a community of students and teachers to know the project of expansion and requalification of the Campus 2 facilities.
This project, which follows the approval of the 2014 Strategic Plan, includes, among other objectives, the reorganization of the P.PORTO Educational Offer, in order to make explicit the two new clusters in the field of Hospitality and Tourism, and in the field of Media Arts and Design, all with their own school space.
The expansion and requalification of Campus 2, to be carried out with it’s own funds in the order of 2 million euros, is an ambitious project, which will equip the two schools with adequate infrastructures to learn in a real-life context. The School of Hospitality and Tourism will be equipped with theoretical rooms, kitchens, microbiology and physicochemical laboratories, restaurant and bar application, among other structures. The School of Media Arts and Design will be endowed with structures dedicated to theoretical and practical activities, as well as a building designed to accommodate large technical spaces such as Television and Photography studios and a Black Box.

The presentation was also attended by the President of the ESMAD Installing Commission, Olívia Silva, the President of the ESHT Installing Commission, Flávio Ferreira, and the Mayor of Póvoa de Varzim, Aires Pereira.
