P.PORTO receives EURASHE event

Short-Cycle Higher Education is the main theme of this event which will take place on September 19th and 20th at P.PORTO

The European Association of Institutions in Higher Education, EURASHE, together with Polytechnic of Porto, the Coordinating Council of Higher Polytechnic Institutes (CCISP) and the Portugal Ministry of Higher Education and Science organize the Peer Learning Activity  (PLA) on Short-Cycle Higher Education (SCHE).

João Rocha, President of P.PORTO, will attend the opening session on 19 September, joined by Pedro Dominguinhos, CCISP President, and Michal Karpíšek, EURASHE Secretary General. Also present will be the Secretary of State for Science, Technology and Higher Education, João Sobrinho Teixeira, the he Director-General for Higher Education in Portugal, João Queiroz.

Founded in 1990 in Patras, Greece, EURASHE is a reference organization representing polytechnic higher education institutions, and other equivalent sub-sectors, with the fundamental objective of contributing to the internationalization of these institutions at all levels by strengthening their ability to respond quickly and flexibly to the needs and demands of the new labor market, which has been the overarching goal of "polytechnic experience" around the world.

More than 500 higher education institutions from 40 countries within and outside the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) are affiliated with EURASHE. Members are national associations of higher education institutions and individual higher education institutions, such as universities, polytechnics and the designated universities of applied sciences. Other professional associations and organizations related to higher education are also members of EURASHE.
