The aim of this 2nd cycle training offer is to develop skills within the scope of clinical reasoning, by contemplating the components of evaluation, diagnosis and intervention in the area of Dermatofunctional Physiotherapy, in order to enhance the student's academic and professional enrichment.

This course is aimed exclusively at physiotherapists, with current programmatic content supported by scientific evidence, suited to the specific learning needs associated with the area of Dermatofunctional Physiotherapy.

This will be the first national master's degree in the area of Dermatofunctional Physiotherapy, having been conceived and planned according to the principles described in the Bologna declaration, being a reflection of the student-centered learning concepts, as well as the European Credit Transfer System to evaluate the effort made by the student in this learning process. Our students will have the opportunity to learn from a team of professors of national and international reference, who are dedicated to clinical practice and research in the specific area.

The master's degree is based on in-depth knowledge of important areas of Physiotherapy, and other areas of knowledge that support its practice, namely functional sciences, morphological sciences, biochemistry, biomechanics, social and human sciences, physics, biostatistics and pharmacy.

The focus of Dermatofunctional Physiotherapy is to enable the integration of knowledge and understanding of the integumentary, endocrine, metabolic, lymphatic, circulatory and myofascial systems in human function and movement. These systems form an integral and fundamental part of the study plan of the Master in Dermatofunctional Physiotherapy in the 1st year, also having curricular units, with a practical component, that approach in detail the prescription of physical exercise, the fundamental interventions in the pre, trans and postoperative periods. of surgical conditions, and differentiated interventions in specific anatomical sites (facial and urogenital region). In this cycle of studies it is also possible to develop competences in research, management, entrepreneurship and marketing in Physiotherapy.

The 2nd year consists of a Dissertation/Internship curricular unit (with a total of 60 ECTS), in which the student develops a master's thesis or internship report, under the guidance/supervision of a doctoral professor or specialist.
