P.PORTO signs protocol thinking about international students

This cooperation with the city, students and universities aims to create an online platform for international students in Porto.

The Porto City Hall signed a protocol with P.PORTO, the Academic Federation of Porto (FAP) and other educational institutions that will help launch an online platform for students choosing Porto to study.

Named "Study in Porto", the app, which is still under development, should be completed in the next academic year and will make available useful informations, from teaching to research information, accommodation, cultural and artistic offerings, leisure and sports infrastructures, mobility in city, among other valences.

Catarina Araújo, responsible, in the City Hall, for the Sports and Youth areas, explained at the ceremony that the project has as its genesis "a cooperation strategy that began with FAP and was later extended and enriched by the involvement of 12 other institutions. " They are P.PORTO, University of Porto, Portuguese Catholic University, Fernando Pessoa University, Lusíada University, Porto Nursing School, Portucalense University, Lusófona University, Erasmus Student Network, UNniplaces (online accommodation platform for university students), Inspire Future, and the Fulbright Commission.

This platform should also support the realization of joint activities and programs, aimed at promoting Porto as a excellent destination for knowledge and innovation.
