ISCAP is now member of European Master's in Translation

ISCAP, the Business School of P.PORTO, joins the Universities of Lisbon and Porto as a national representative in this EU network

The Master in Specialized Translation and Interpretation (MTIE) of the Higher Institute of Accounting and Administration of Porto (ISCAP) has now the seal of quality of the European Master's in Translation (EMT).

As a partnership between the European Commission and Higher Education Institutions (IES) offering translation programs at master's level, EMT is a hallmark of quality for IES translation programs. These master's degree programs in translation seek to meet the professional standards and market needs. ISCAP is the only Portuguese IES to have the seal of quality in the area of Interpretation.

The main objective of the EMT is to standardize the European Union (EU) priorities for higher education: in order to improve the quality of the translator's work by creating a better integration into the labor market. The EMT competence framework designed by European experts, which define the basic skills that a translator needs to acquire to carry out work activities in the current market, seeks to train highly competent translators in cooperation with the translation industry.

The EMT aims, in the long term, to improve the status of the translator profession in the EU.

Congratulations to the direction and scientific committee of MTIE, teachers, employees, students and alumni.
