2019 Electric Mobility Conference

The ISEP Magno Auditorium, P.PORTO Engineering School, receives on the 11th and 12th of October the 2nd edition of the Electric Mobility Days

Under the motto For a Sustainable Future, the Electric Mobility Days return in 2019 to the Institute of Engineering of Porto (ISEP), for its second edition. Organized by ISEP's Department of Electrical Engineering (DEE), the conference are intended to be, between 11 and 12 October, a space for analysis and discussion of electric mobility and its main challenges.

Today, the car is the favorite way of transportation and one of the main engines of the economy. Energy expenditure on vehicle manufacturing, pollution, the costs associated with building and maintaining infrastructure, traffic and consequently environmental and health problems are increasing, demanding the study and adoption of sustainable alternatives, with less impact on people's lives.

Electric vehicles, in turn, have the potential to help mitigate these problems. The Electric Mobility Days aim to present the advantages of electric mobility for everyday life, without forgetting the challenges that it entails regarding sustainability, infrastructures and safety.

The program will unfold into six panels, composed of experts from companies such as EDP, Efacec, Toyota-Caetano Portugal, Bosch Car, Continental, Tesla Club Portugal, Cardan, among others.

Among the topics under discussion, we highlight the strategies for decarbonization of mobility, electric charging infrastructures and vehicle inspection and maintenance, as well as new ways of mobility. There will be a pitch of just three minutes for each player based on seven different themes and, during the two days of the event, there will be an exhibition of electric vehicles with the possibility of a test drive.
