GECAD joins European project funded by H2020

Research Group from ISEP, P.PORTO Engineering School, is a participant in the area of energy and local electricity markets

Dominoes (Smart Distribution Grid: A Market Driven Approach for the Next Generation of Advanced Operation Models and Services) is a 2020 funded European research project that brings together five higher education institutions and three companies from four countries (Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom and Finland).

The Institute of Engineering of Porto (ISEP),  through the Research Group on Engineering and Intelligent Computing for Innovation and Development (GECAD), joins the universities of Sevilha, Leicester and Lappeenranta.

Dominoes aims to design, develop and validate a solution for the energy market that is transparent and scalable, enhancing the use of renewable energy and the reuse of local distribution networks. The project started in October 2017 and runs until March 2021, with a total budget of around four million euros, of which almost 700,000 are allocated to ISEP.
