PORTIC -Porto Research, Technology & Innovation Center seeks to bring together several research centers and groups from P.PORTO schools into a single physical space, forming a superstructure dedicated to research, technology transfer, innovation and entrepreneurship.
It will also host Porto Global Hub, which includes Porto Design Factory, Porto Business Innovation, and Startup Porto, and its vision is to help create sustainable local projects for a better life.
The new Polytechnic of Porto ecosystem strengthens the idea of a synergistic environment, the fertile cross between areas of knowledge, adding skills and teams, fostering cooperation and formation of joint projects, in a space of knowledge, science, transfer, and reproduction in line with international best practices.
This model allows collaborative work between the R&D units, facilitates the involvement of P.PORTO in consortia and research projects while promoting the acceleration of ideas and an entrepreneurial mindset.
