The physiotherapist is responsible for the identification, prevention, recovery, re-education, capacitation and rehabilitation of disabilities originated by physical dysfunctions of musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory and neurologic nature, as well as psychological dysfunctions. The aim of this professional is to develop maximum functionality and quality of life by designing programmes, selecting, planning and using techniques, educational methods and specific therapies based on motion, manual therapies and physical/natural means, chosen after analysing and assessing motion and posture.
