The Master in Laboratory Techniques in Biopathology (BioPat) has 3 branches of specialization - Cytopathology, Histopathology and Molecular Pathology. The program of this Master's Program proves to be innovative, because in addition to providing the acquisition of highly specialized knowledge that sustains the capacity for reflection, innovation, development and research, it also allows the development of specialized attitudes and skills to solve problems at the level of clinical practice , as well as for the modification / updating of practices in one of the three major areas of specialization within the scope of Pathological Anatomy.

In this course, the fact that the student can choose, even in the 1st curricular year, an area of ??specialization that suits his interests, will help him acquire skills and deep knowledge in advanced laboratory methods and techniques in Cytopathology, Histopathology or Molecular Pathology . Thus, the student will be able to develop different research studies that contribute to the increase of current knowledge; optimize and adapt work methods and techniques to new contexts, innovating for better health service delivery and more conscious research; develop and evaluate tools for the management and control of quality and biological, chemical and environmental safety; between others.

The 2nd curricular year is designed to provide the student with the possibility of consolidating the knowledge acquired in a given area of ??specialization, through the realization of an internship and respective report, or a master's dissertation in a laboratory area of ??the specialization area, under the guidance of a doctoral professor or specialist.
